I have started a new blog

Dear readers,

I have decided to close this blog and start a new one with a good purpose. Lately, I have been obsessed with eco fashion, organic products, fair-trade, etc. I would like to explore this topic in my new blog eco-stylista. I hope you will enjoy it! See you there!

Kedves olvasók!

Úgy döntöttem, hogy befejezem ennek a blognak az írását. Nemrégiben megismerkedtem egy számomra új területtel, az öko-divattal, és ezzel kapcsolatban indítottam egy új blogot itt: eco-stylista. Nagyon érdekesnek találom a környezetbarát ruhagyártást, az újrafelhasználást a divatban, a "fair-trade" jelenségét, és úgy érzem, hogy hasznos lenne ezekkel minél több embert megismertetni. Remélem, hogy velem tartotok és olvasni fogjátok az új blogomat is. (Elnézést kérek a magyar olvasóktól, de az új blog nyelve az angol lesz. De ígére, hogy nagyon sok inspiráló kép is lesz!)

Bohemian luxe

I have to admit I love ShopBop's lookbooks. Every time I receive a newsletter from them I feel so excited to see the newest features. This time it is überglam bohemian (again, but I can not get enough of it) and I love every single look. The Diane von Fürstenberg embroidered waistcoat is something I would probably kill for!

Here is my own version of this trend, a bit budget-friendlier and a bit more city-like. Hope you will like it!

Summer braids

Oh so beautiful and bohemian braids. I cannot decide whether to have my hair cut or grow it again... These pictures make me long for looonggg hair...

Fashionista cushions

I believe that cushions are a great and quite cheap way to update a look and you can easily change them if you are tired of your decor (it happens to me too often). I came across these gorgeous fashion themed cushions at Sanderson. They are lovely and they offer it in a duck-egg blue colorway, too. 

I also have a serious crush for this great Cole&Son wallpaper... What do you think?

Living room inspiration

We are almost finished with moving everything to our new place so it is time to decide on the decor. As we are quite tight on budget I decided to tackle first only the living room. Taking in consideration what we already have, I came up with the following colour scheme inspired by a beautiful setting I found at Oka. 

The style of the living room could be described as laid-back casual with a French twist (not surprising I guess). The living room will serve three functions: living, dining and playroom and these three areas will be connected by colours and pattern. I also decided to make a couple of DIY project, so wish me luck. 

Living area

We already have the IKEA sofa, but we need a rug, a coffee table and some curtains which I decided to paint by myself with a gorgeus chandelier pattern. (Maybe I will also make the cushions by myself using the same chandelier pattern.) Besides we need some wall and table decor. I really love this old map of Paris.

Dining area

We already have the table and the chairs and I would like to buy a great carpet (although this one is rather a dream) and add some whimsical elements, like these wall letters or the milk carton vases.

Children's area

I decided to get rid of the colourful table and chairs set my children currently use and buy them an antique school desk to match the ambience of the room. I also want to give this toy storage unit a fresh grey coat and to stencil some words on the storage boxes.

Már majdnem végeztünk a költözéssel, úgyhogy mostanában a nappali berendezése foglalkoztat. A fenti színösszeállítást találtam ki a már meglévő bútoraink alapján. A nappali 3 funkciót fog betölteni: nappali, ebédlő és játszószoba, amiket a színek és a minták fognak összekötni. A három területet valahogy így képzelem el, ahogy feljebb látjátok. Szerencsére nagy dolgokat nem kell vennünk, csak némi dekorációt, illetve szeretnék egy-két dolgot házilag megcsinálni, pl. csillár-mintás függönyöket festeni és a játékosszekrényt lefesteni.
